Who is ndrey Sobolevsky?

I’m a software engineer based in Montreal and specializing in machine learning and data science. I’m motivated to build usefull systems for people and have positive impact.

I’m an organized person, hard worker, always on time, curious and problem solver.

I love working out in the gym, reading about productivity, finance or fantasy. I’m always in to participate to any activity and I spend some time watching anime and tv-shows.

I want to be part of something that will help the world somehow. Let’s build it together!

    Bachelor Degree in Engineering
    Started Bachelor degree in engineering at Université libre de Bruxelles with a specialization in computer science on the last year. I was awarded the grade of bachelor in engineering sciences with distinction.
  • September 2020 - June 2021
    Master Degree in Computer Science Engineering
    Started Master degree in software engineering at Université libre de Bruxelles. I was selected to be part of double diploma program the following year at the University of Montreal.
  • August 2021 - Present
    Research Master in LITIV lab
    Started Master degree in software engineering at Ecole polytechnique de Montréal. I joined the LITIV research lab in computer vision and worked on a AI model that allows to generate Graphical User Interfaces. I had the opportunity to publish a paper namedGUILGET: GUI Layout GEneration with Transformer and attend the Canadian AI Conference 2023.

    Teaching Assistant
    Beside studying Im also teaching assistant in INF8770: Technology and Multimedia as well as in INF6804: Computer Vision courses at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.

As I was studying computer science I was interested in algorithms and data structures that allows to have the most efficient codes. I've participated to some competitions such as Google Hash Code in order to improve my knowledge and my experience. I'm coding freely in C, C++, Python, C# and Java.

Data science is my main field of interest. I've discovered what is AI, how it works and saw the large amount of application it has. So I've started to highly focus this field in my studies. I had also the opportunity to work in a computer vision lab at Ecole polytechnique de Montreal which allowed me to discover the research part which is exciting.

I've started developing web in 2019 by learning HTML and CSS that allowed me to make my previous website. With this little experience, I've helped a friend that was launching Digitalu, an agency for developping web and mobile applications. There, I've learned frameworks such as Reactjs and learned to develop full stack websites. Later I've continued practicing full stack web development by learning Nextjs.
